Privacy Policy

1. Who handles your information

Pickind (一口) is developed and provided by 刘一坤 (Liu Yikun). Contact: lyk1423812056@gmail.com. This policy describes how the current version handles information. Effective date: 2026-11-08. In one sentence: your photos and notes stay on your device, and we run no server that receives them.

2. How photos are analyzed

With your permission, the app reads the photos and albums you have granted access to, together with metadata such as capture time, dimensions, format and location, in order to browse, group, score, edit and compress them. Similarity comparison, quality scoring, closed-eye detection, subject masking and text recognition all run on your device using system capabilities; photos never leave the device. Closed-eye detection only checks whether someone in the frame has their eyes closed. It does not identify who the person is and builds no facial profile. Analysis results, cleanup decisions and notes are cached on the device and updated or cleared as the features require. Please grant access only to the photos you want the app to handle.

3. Microphone and speech

The app asks for microphone and speech-recognition permission only when you press and hold the note area on the back of a postcard to dictate. Speech is transcribed on your device and stops when you release. No recording is saved, and neither audio nor text is sent to us. The system may download an on-device language model for recognition; that is handled by Apple.

4. Device tilt

When you zoom into a Live Photo, the app reads the device's tilt to switch between frames. This data is used only for display at that moment and is neither stored nor transmitted.

5. When the app uses the network

The app connects to no developer server and has no account system, advertising or third-party analytics. Network access happens only through the following Apple services: downloading iCloud photos that are not yet on the device; sending a photo's location coordinates to Apple Maps for geocoding when the back of a postcard shows a place name; communicating with the App Store for purchases, renewals and restores; and downloading language models for system speech recognition. Apple processes this data under its own privacy policy. When you share or export photos yourself, the photos and their metadata go to the app or recipient you choose.

6. Purchases and support

Membership purchases are handled by the App Store. The app receives only the product, transaction status and expiration date to determine your entitlements and caches them on the device; we cannot see your payment details. When you email us, we use what you send only to reply and troubleshoot. Please do not include unnecessary private photos, identity documents or payment information.

7. Storage and deletion

Data kept on the device includes analysis caches, cleanup decisions, notes, preferences and entitlement status. Deleting the app removes this data. System backups and App Store purchase records are managed by Apple.

8. Your choices

In Settings you can change the app's photo access at any time and turn off microphone, speech-recognition or motion permission; the corresponding features will then be unavailable. For information we have received from you by email, you can write to lyk1423812056@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion, and we will reply within the period required by applicable law.

9. Children

Minors should use the app under a guardian's guidance. If a child under the applicable age (14 in mainland China) needs to contact us, a guardian should do so on their behalf.

10. Changes

When our handling of information changes, we update this policy and its date. Significant changes that require renewed consent will be announced before they take effect.
